Shaundra Olson, MA, LPCC, believes your story and journey is unique and that therapy should be tailored to your needs.

I strive to create a space where you can safely explore your thoughts and challenges and build upon your strengths. Your culture, perspectives, and values help me understand how to use approaches that fit you. I like to use skills, talk therapy, and humor in sessions. This way you will learn new things, process feelings, and walk away feeling rejuvenated rather than exhausted after session.

I am a believer in a holistic approach. Mental health wellness includes mind, body, and soul. I guide others in developing or reconstructing their sense of self and demolishing old, unhealthy thought patterns. I will gently challenge you to embrace vulnerability, build upon your strengths, and I will celebrate victories with you! This type of work can help replace shame and sadness with empowerment, purpose, and joy.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked for over 4 years as an Independent Living Skills worker in the community and in clients’ homes. I have seen what a large variety of mental health concerns look like outside of the office. I also have experience in co-facilitating a Chronic Illness Group and running my own LGBTQ+ Group. These settings have taught me more about the importance of community, resources, support systems, and validation from peers and others regarding clients’ healing processes.

Throughout my own life, I have found healing in nature, music, poetry, meditation, and holistic practices. I look forward to joining you as you find strategies that foster peace and clarity. I am consistently amazed by the resilience of my clients and feel honored to be part of this journey.
